Summer Picnic 2009 - Sunday, September 27, 2009

We had our annual Summer Picnic at Franklin Community Park on Sunday.  We had a great turn out, and delicious food from The Grubb Steak and Sundae Bar from Ritter's Frozen Custard.  Mike Webster coordinated a cornhole tournament.  Everyone got to play and the big winners were Andy Clary and Dave Truscott.  Congratulations!   Thank you to Mike and Susie Webster for putting on this great occasion.

Christmas Party 2008 - Thursday, December 11, 2008

We had the biggest turn out in the history of our Christmas parties.  Even Santa came and handed out gifts to the children.  What a great time everyone had.  We presented to Donna Cox from the Oasis House, 25 Recovery Bibles.  The money for the bibles plus $500 donated to SICSA, $600.00 to the Angel Tree Network and 50 backpacks and $1000.00 donated to Heart for the Homeless came from the Employees Give Back Fund.  We raised $ 3300.00 this year thanks to our employees, subcontractors and vendors, all gave without hesitation.   We hope to raise even more for 2009.

Summer Picnic 2008 - Sunday, September 7, 2008

Everyone came together for a day of fun and games at the Franklin Community Park.  We had City Barbeque cater the event.  We had cornhole games, softball games and kids running around the playground.  What a wonderful time we all had as a family, spending quality time together.  Dave Becker got to come out and spend some time with us and he seemed really enjoyed to really enjoy himself, talking to all of his friends and co-workers.   To top off the event, we had Ritters Frozen Custard come out with a Sundae Bar.  They were there to help us celebrate the achievement of 100 Days Without an Injury.  Thank you Mike and Susie for a great day!!  We look forward to next year!

Employee Appreciation Lunch - Wednesday, May 9, 2007

We packed up vans and trucks with grills, tables and tons of food and headed to the Middletown Regional Hospital parking lot to feed all of our hardworking employees and subcontractors on the job.  We set up a tent and grilled hamburgers, hot dogs and chicken breasts.  Mike Webster manned the grill, doing a fine job I might add.  Everyone seemed to enjoy the time off of their knees and the food.  The weather couldn't have been better.  Thanks again guys for all of your hard work.

M & S Flooring Employees Give Back - Ongoing - Starting in May of 2007

Our employees and subcontractors have been asked to donate $1.00 per week out of their paychecks to be donated to charity at the end of the year.   So far we have a commitment of $29.00 per week.  M & S Flooring will match all donations up to $1000.00.  What a great way to give back and help those less fortunate.  Anyone can still give at any time.  Please give.  Thanks to those who have made the commitment!!   UPDATE December 2007: This Christmas with the Employees Give Back Fund we were able to donate all of the $2250.00 in the fund to three charities.  The first one was Share Our Strength, their goal is to end childhood hunger in America.  To them we gave $ 700.00.  The second charity was Amtrykes.  They modify bicycles and tricycles for children with handicaps so they can ride bikes with their family and friends like children should.  To them we gave $750.00.  And the best donation was to 9 families (20 children and 3 adults).  We bought toys and clothes for these people who would not have had much of a Christmas if it wasn't for your giving.  We spent $800.00 on these wonderful people and then met them at the United Way in Xenia to hand them out to them.  What a rewarding feeling!!  Thank you so much for those who gave and those who will give this year.  Let's give so much more next year!!

Ladies Afternoon Out - Thursday, May 24, 2007

The Ladies of M & S Flooring, Susie, Doris, Christine, Kris and Robin Fults, our proud sponsor from Mannington Commercial,  hosted lunch and a show for several customers and guests at LaComedia Dinner Theatre on Thursday, May 24th.  We ate a fabulous meal at the theatre's buffet and enjoyed the play "Grease".   We had 24 ladies in total who enjoyed a lovely afternoon away from their offices.  We had front row seating, close enough that Susie Webster ended up dancing with one of the cast from her seat.  What a wonderful afternoon, thank you ladies for joining us.

M & S Flooring Summer Outing - Saturday, September 8, 2007

Cincinnati Reds - 3 vs. Milwaukee Brewers - 4

Even with the threat of rain, we had a great turn out for our Summer Outing to the Reds game.   Everyone had a great time watching the game, eating the ballpark food and mingling with fellow employees and their families.  And even though the Reds lost, we did have one home run that brought out the fireworks. You can see all of the fun pictures in our September issue of the Newsletter here on our website coming soon.

3rd Annual Golf Outing - Friday, September 14, 2007

Our 3rd Annual Golf Outing was a huge success.  We had 87 players between our valued customers and our dedicated vendors (sponsors of the event).  The weather couldn't have been more perfect.  Everyone played a round of 18 holes and then came in for a wonderful meal and prizes.  We had one player hit a hole in one.  That was very exciting.  We want to thank everyone for coming out and also for getting into the side games we had.  The $600 collected from that went to Good Shepherd Ministries.

M & S Flooring Christmas Party - December 10, 2007

Again this year, like last year, we spent a fun evening at the Capri Bowling Lanes in Kettering.  What a fun time with everyone's families.  We really enjoy getting together outside of work and have some friendly competition.  Thanks Mike and Susie for another wonderful Christmas Party.

Field Employee Field Trip - February 9, 2008

Mike Webster,  the installers, Crew Leaders and warehousemen were invited to the Dayton Bombers Hockey game on Saturday, the 9th of February.  The Bombers played Trenton that night and won 1-0.  This was Mike's way of saying "Thank you" for working so hard this past year.  We completed The Middletown Regional Hospital, The Atrium and it looks amazing.  This project alone took over a year to finish.  Thanks again gentlemen for all of your hard work.
